LHOTSKÝ / RÓNA
NISA FACTORY Gallery, Jablonec nad Nisou

Pozvánka na výstavu
Jaroslav Róna as a glassmaker and Zdeněk Lhotský as a graphic artist. Jablonec Nisa Factory presents an exceptional collection of exceptional artists. The exhibition of Zdeněk Lhotský and Jaroslav Róna at the Nisa Factory Gallery is about the connection of Róna’s glass sculptures in particular and Lhotský’s large-format graphics and drawings. Although the two artists have been together at exhibitions for more than 30 years, this is the first time they are opening a show like this. From Jaroslav Róna’s rich work, both monumental, really large bronze sculptures have been selected, and his almost complete glass work has been compiled. This was created in the glass kilns of Zdeněk Lhotský in recent decades. The concept of this exhibition was conceived by Zdeněk Lhotský, who exhibited at NISA FACTORY in 2023. His current graphic, large-format works are so interesting that we decided to include them in this year’s exhibition plan,” said gallery owner Zuzana Slámová. She also added that some of the digital prints will be transferred directly to the gallery wall. Exhibition open 29 April – 25 May 2025 weekdays 10 am – 5 pm, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 11-17 hours and by appointment. Guided tour on 23 May at 6 pm. Nisa Factory Janovská 132/39, Jablonec nad Nisou

Exhibition in the Glass Museum Nový Bor

Opening: 31/03/2023 at 5:00 p.m Open: 01/04/2023 – 11/06/2023 Opening hours: daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed on Mondays For the exhibition in the Glass Museum Nový Bor, the works were essentially monochromatic. The limitation of the color scale can very well illustrate the “colorfulness” of various structures and decors. The simple clean shapes contrast with the rich decor on the surface or the elaborate structure inside the material. An authentic shelf from the artist’s gallery in Chlístov is also incorporated into the installation. It brings us closer to the real environment where these special and unique things are created and also evokes the environment of the Viennese art workshops of the Wiener Werkstätte from the first three decades of the 20th century, to which Zdeněk Lhotský pays tribute in this part of his work.
